Guoshan Ancient Trail Introduction
After the completion of the circular road around Green Island, the old trail gradually lost its function. The Eastern District Office has renovated and paved the entire trail with stone slabs, naming it the "Old Mountain Trail." The Old Mountain Trail is 1.85 kilometers long and takes about 90-100 minutes for a round trip. Following the stone path of the Old Mountain Trail, visitors ascend step by step, encountering rich natural ecology along the way. It is common to observe typical Green Island plants such as tree ferns, Yilan aromatic trees, wild peonies, and pink guavas, as well as various creatures like the spider with a human face and the flying dragon lizard. This is an ecologically rich forest trail where travelers can leisurely stroll and carefully observe plants, lizards, insects, and other terrestrial flora and fauna, discovering many unforgettable surprises.
