Guoshan Ancient Trail Introduction
After the completion of the Green Island Circumference Highway, the old trails gradually lost their functionality. The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has renovated the entire trail and paved it with stone slabs, naming it "Guoshan Ancient Trail." The Guoshan Ancient Trail is 1.85 kilometers long and takes about 90 to 100 minutes to walk round trip. Following the stone slab path of the Guoshan Ancient Trail, one can ascend through an area rich in natural ecology. Visitors can observe various typical plants of Green Island, such as tree ferns, Yilan's native agarwood, wild azaleas, and the myrtle tree. Additionally, one can frequently spot the spider with a human face and the chameleon, making this trail a forest path abundant in ecological scenery. Travelers can stroll leisurely, carefully observing the plants, lizards, and insects along the way, discovering many unforgettable surprises.
