Qingshan Herb Education Farm Introduction
The Herb Garden is located at the highest point at the intersection of the Shenkeng Aruyang Industrial Road and the Muzha Maokong area, with an elevation of approximately 480 meters. It offers a stunning view of the Aruyankeng Valley and distant sights of Shiding and Xizhi. Nearby are nature trails such as Bijiashan, Ergeshan, and Hou Shan Yue, allowing visitors to choose trails based on the time they have to enjoy a leisurely time. The farm was established in 1974, initially focusing on cultivating Wenshan Paochong tea and citrus fruits as economic crops. Currently, under the management of the second-generation owner, Ms. Gao, the farm has transformed into a theme park specializing in the cultivation of herb plants, in line with the promotion of leisure agriculture. The area spans about 800 ping, and besides reviving the endangered Ophiopogon japonicus, it cultivates various herbs such as lavender, sage, rosemary, European peppermint, stevia, lemongrass, calendula, perilla, and native Taiwanese cinnamon. Additionally, a variety of herbal delicacies are developed, including freshly picked herbal tea, herbal coffee, herbal ice products, herbal handmade cookies, and herbal set meals for visitors to savor. The owner has a passion for natural ecology and has worked as a frog surveyor, and due to the rich ecological environment of the garden, it often hosts group bookings for ecological education activities. Throughout different seasons, one can encounter various plants, birds, butterflies, and frogs, occasionally brushing past the mountain mist, as if walking in the clouds.
