Qingshan Herb Education Farm Introduction
The Herb Garden is located at the highest point where the Shenkeng Aru Yang Industrial Road meets the intersection with Muzha Maokong, at an elevation of about 480 meters. It overlooks the Aru Keng Valley and offers distant views of Shiding and Xizhi. Nearby are natural trails such as Bijiashan, Ergeshan, and Hou Shan Yue, where visitors can choose walking trails based on their available time and enjoy a leisurely experience. Established in 1974, the farm initially focused on cultivating Wenshan Paochong tea and citrus fruits as economic crops. Now, under the management of the second-generation owner, Ms. Gao, the farm has transformed into a theme park featuring herbs in line with the promotion of leisure agriculture. Covering an area of approximately 800 ping, the farm not only regenerates the endangered Scarlet Lily but also cultivates various herbs such as lavender, sage, rosemary, spearmint, stevia, lemongrass, calendula, perilla, and native Taiwanese cinnamon. They have also developed a variety of herbal beverages, such as freshly picked herbal tea, herbal coffee, herbal ice treats, herbal handmade cookies, and herbal set meals for visitors to savor. The owner enjoys the natural ecological environment and has worked as a frog surveyor, and given the rich ecological environment of the area, the farm frequently hosts group bookings for ecological education activities. Throughout different seasons, various plants, birds, butterflies, and frogs can be encountered, occasionally brushing past with mountain mists, making it feel like a walk in the clouds.
