Qingshan Herb Education Farm Introduction
The Herb Garden is located at the highest point where the Shenkeng Arhoyang Industrial Road meets the Muzha Maokong area, at an elevation of approximately 480 meters. It offers a view of the Arhoy Valley and a distant sight of Shiding and Xizhi. Nearby, there are natural trails such as Bijiashan, Ergeshan, and Hou Shan Yue, allowing visitors to choose from different hiking paths based on their time and enjoy a leisurely experience. Established in 1974, the farm initially focused on cultivating Wenshan Paochung tea and citrus fruits as economic crops. Now run by the second-generation owner, Ms. Gao, the farm has transformed into a themed garden specializing in the cultivation of herbal plants in line with the promotion of leisure agriculture. The garden covers an area of approximately 800 ping and, in addition to revitalizing the endangered Scarlet Lily, it also cultivates lavender, sage, rosemary, spearmint, sweetleaf, lemongrass, calendula, perilla, and native Taiwanese cinnamon, among other herbs. The garden has also developed various herbal beverages, including freshly picked herbal tea, herbal coffee, herbal ice products, herbal handmade cookies, and herbal set meals, for visitors to savor. The owner has a passion for natural ecological environments and has worked as a frog surveyor. With the garden’s rich ecological environment, it often hosts group reservations for ecological education activities. Throughout the seasons, visitors can encounter various plants, birds, butterflies, and frogs, and occasionally feel the mountain mist brush past them, making it seem as though they are strolling on clouds.
