Qingshan Herb Education Farm Introduction
The Herb Garden is located at the highest point where the Shenkeng Arouyang Industrial Road meets the intersection with Muzha Maokong, at an altitude of about 480 meters. Visitors can overlook the Aroukeng Stream Valley and gaze far toward Shiding and Xizhi. Nearby, there are natural trails such as Bijiashan, Ergeshan, and Hou Mountain. Tourists can choose from various trails based on the time they have, enjoying a leisurely experience. Established in 1974, the farm initially grew Wenshan Paochong tea and citrus fruits as economic crops. Now, under the management of the second-generation owner, Ms. Kao, the farm has transformed into a themed garden specializing in herb planting, in line with leisure agriculture promotion. The park spans approximately 800 ping and not only aims to revive the endangered Red Lilium but also cultivates various herbs such as lavender, sage, rosemary, European mint, stevia, lemongrass, calendula, perilla, and native Taiwanese soil cinnamon. At the same time, it has developed a variety of herb-based beverages and foods, including freshly picked herbal tea, herbal coffee, herbal ice cream, herbal handmade cookies, and herbal set meals, for visitors to savor. The owner enjoys the natural ecological environment and has worked as a frog surveyor. Given the rich ecological environment of the park, it often hosts group bookings for ecological education activities, where visitors can encounter various plants, birds, butterflies, frogs, and occasionally brush past mountain mist, making one feel as if they are walking in the clouds.
