Ergeshan System Trail Introduction

Erge Mountain Trail is located at the boundary of Ayang and Wenshan District (opposite the entrance to Monkey Mountain). Erge Mountain is just a line apart from Monkey Mountain, and its trailhead is located directly across from the Monkey Mountain trailhead. Erge Mountain, also known as Shijianshan, has an elevation of 678 meters and is a popular hiking route due to its wide views. The trail surface is composed of stone steps and natural earth paths. At the summit of Erge Mountain, there is a uniquely shaped wooden pavilion, where visitors can enjoy views not only of Taipei's skyscrapers but also distant sights such as Wuzhishan and Qixingshan. Climbing Erge Mountain allows one to enjoy a primitive forest bath and the fun of hiking, as the lush canopy and challenging trails lead to Muzha.
