Ergeshan Trail Introduction

Erge Mountain Hiking Trail is located at the junction of Ayang Rou Industry Road and Wenshan District (opposite the entrance to Monkey Mountain). Erge Mountain is only separated by a line from Monkey Mountain, and its trailhead is directly across from the Monkey Mountain trailhead. Erge Mountain, also known as Shijian Mountain, has an elevation of 678 meters and is a popular hiking route due to its expansive views. The trail consists of stone steps and natural dirt paths, and at the summit of Erge Mountain, there is a uniquely shaped wooden pavilion where, besides the skyscrapers of Taipei City, one can also enjoy distant views of Wuzhishan and Qixingshan. Climbing Erge Mountain allows for an experience of the most primitive forest bathing and hiking pleasure, as the shaded trails are dense and challenging, leading all the way to Muzha.
