Ergeshan Mountain Trail Introduction

Erge Mountain Hiking Trail is located at the boundary of Ayang Rou Industrial Road and Wenshan District (opposite to the entrance of Hou Mountain). Erge Mountain and Hou Mountain are separated by only a line, with the trailhead situated directly across from the Hou Mountain trailhead. Erge Mountain, also known as Shijian Mountain, stands at an elevation of 678 meters and is a popular hiking route due to its expansive views. The trail consists of stone steps and natural earth paths. At the summit of Erge Mountain, there is a uniquely designed wooden pavilion that offers panoramic views, allowing visitors to see not only the skyscrapers of Taipei City but also distant mountains such as Wuzhi Mountain and Qixing Mountain. Hiking Erge Mountain provides a chance to enjoy a pristine forest bath and the joy of hiking, as the trail is shaded with dense foliage and presents a challenging path, leading to Muzha along the way.
