Taipei City Tieguanyin Baozhong Tea R&D and Promotion Center Introduction
The Taipei City Tieguanyin Baozhong Tea Research and Promotion Center is located in the Maokong area and was completed in 1985. It features a tea exhibition area that introduces the tea production process and tasting methods, among other tea-related knowledge; a tea art teaching area that provides reservation-based instructional services on weekdays, with volunteers offering free guided tours on weekends and holidays; and an outdoor teaching area located on the back hill of the promotion center, where various plants are cultivated, including osmanthus, camellias, cherry blossoms, and green maple. This area also includes a parent-child recreation area, a tea plantation area, an ecological pond, a meteorological observation platform, and an artificial rainfall erosion channel to introduce soil and water conservation knowledge, helping the public understand its importance. The promotion center integrates agriculture, daily life, culture, and leisure, providing citizens with a great place for recreational activities and guiding them to gain deeper insights into the tea industry and culture of the Wenshan District. The Tea Promotion Center organizes 20 tea experience events each year, including tea picking, tea art education, and tea snacks production. On Saturdays and Sundays, volunteers are arranged to provide free guided tour services on-site, while on weekdays (Tuesday to Friday), only group reservations are accepted, requiring groups to book two weeks in advance. Guided tour content includes tea art instruction, tea plantation tours, and ecological tours.
