Taipei City Tie Guan Yin Baozhong Tea Research and Promotion Center Introduction
The Taipei City Tieguanyin Baozhong Tea R&D and Promotion Center is located in the Maokong area and was completed in 1985. It features a tea exhibition area that introduces the tea production process and tea tasting methods, along with other knowledge about tea. The tea art teaching area offers reservation-based instructional services on weekdays, while volunteers provide free guided tours on weekends and holidays. The outdoor teaching area, situated on the hill behind the promotion center, cultivates various plants including osmanthus, camellia, cherry blossoms, and green maple. It also includes a family recreation area, a tea garden, an ecological pond, a meteorological observation platform, and an artificial rainfall erosion channel, all aimed at educating the public about soil and water conservation and emphasizing its importance. The promotion center combines agriculture, life, culture, and leisure, providing a great place for citizens to engage in recreational activities while guiding them to gain a deeper understanding of the tea industry and culture in the Wenshan District. Each year, the tea promotion center holds 20 tea experience activities, including tea picking experiences, tea art instruction, and tea snack making. On Saturdays and Sundays, volunteers are available on-site to provide free guided tours, while on weekdays (Tuesday to Friday), only group reservations are accepted, with groups needing to book two weeks in advance. The guided tours include tea art instruction, tea garden, and ecological tours.
