Taipei City Tieguanyin and Baozhong Tea Research and Promotion Center Introduction
The Taipei City Tieguanyin Baozhong Tea Research and Promotion Center is located in the Maokong area and was completed in 1985. It features a tea display area that introduces the tea-making process and tea tasting methods, as well as knowledge about tea. The tea art teaching area offers reservation-based teaching services during weekdays, while volunteers provide free guided tours on weekends and holidays. The outdoor teaching area, situated in the rear mountain of the promotion center, plants various species, including osmanthus, camellia, cherry blossoms, and maple trees. It also includes a family recreation area, tea garden area, ecological pond, meteorological observation platform, and artificial rainfall erosion trough, which introduce knowledge about soil and water conservation to help the public understand its importance. The promotion center combines agriculture, lifestyle, culture, and leisure, providing citizens with a great place for recreational activities and guiding them to gain a deeper understanding of the tea industry and culture in the Wenshan District. The tea promotion center organizes 20 tea experience activities each year, including tea picking, tea art teaching, and making tea snacks. On Saturdays and Sundays, volunteers are arranged to provide free guided tours on-site. During weekdays (Tuesday to Friday), group reservations are only accepted, and groups in need must reserve two weeks in advance. The guided tours include tea art instruction, tea garden tours, and ecological tours.
