Taipei Tea Promotion Center for Tieguanyin and Baozhong Tea Introduction
The Taipei City Tieguanyin Baozhong Tea Development and Promotion Center is located in the Maokong area and was completed in 1985. It features a tea exhibition area that introduces the tea-making process and tea tasting methods, providing knowledge about tea. There is also a tea art teaching area that offers reservation-based teaching services on weekdays, while volunteers provide free guided tours on weekends and holidays. The outdoor teaching area, situated on the back mountain of the promotion center, cultivates various plants, including osmanthus, camellias, cherry blossoms, and green maples. It includes a parent-child recreation area, a tea garden, an ecological pond, a meteorological observation platform, and an artificial rainfall erosion channel, introducing knowledge about soil and water conservation to help the public understand its importance. The promotion center combines agriculture, lifestyle, culture, and leisure, providing citizens with a good place for recreational activities and guiding them to gain a deeper understanding of the tea industry and culture in the Muzha area. The tea promotion center organizes 20 tea experience activities annually, including tea picking experiences, tea art teaching, and tea snack making; on Saturdays and Sundays, volunteers are arranged on-site for free guided tours, while on weekdays (Tuesday to Friday) only group reservations are accepted, and groups in need must book two weeks in advance. The guided content includes tea art instruction, tea garden, and ecological tours.
