Wugu Zhiguang Zen Temple Introduction
Zhiguang Zen Temple is located in Wugu District, New Taipei City, and is one of the three temples founded by Master Ruxue. Over 20 years ago, it was originally a private small Buddha hall, serving as a place for family practitioners. Around the 87th year of the Republic Era (1998), the opportunity arose to invite Master Ruxue to preside over the temple affairs here. Today, Zhiguang Zen Temple is a grand Buddhist temple occupying a vast area, featuring lush greenery and beautiful mountains and rivers. The old mountain gate was originally located directly in front of the Main Hall of the Great Buddha, with a pond in front of it, but it was later relocated to the left side of the temple, making the old mountain gate obsolete. Zhiguang Zen Temple is adjacent to Linkou in the south, where Zhulinsi (Bamboo Forest Temple) is available for visitation. To the north, it overlooks Tamsui with two ancient temples, Baoxie Zen Temple and Xiyun Zen Temple, and it is also neighboring Lingyun Zen Temple on Guanyin Mountain, making it a place rich in both spiritual and human excellence.
