Wugu Summer Green Space Introduction
Wugu Summer Green Land spans an extensive 60 hectares of lush grassland. Behind its romantic and refreshing reputation lies the efforts of the New Taipei City Government, which transformed the formerly chaotic and avoided garbage mountain through the "Wugu Garbage Mountain Environmental Improvement Project" into a beautiful hidden gem, making it a new family-friendly attraction in Wugu. The park also features the New Taipei City Resource Recycling Education Center, responsible for handling recyclables and promoting environmental education. The transformation of the garbage mountain into Summer Green Land has turned a long-ignored area in Wugu into a vibrant eco-park, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the New Taipei City Government to guide industry transformation, demolish illegal structures, and incorporate sustainable principles and urban aesthetics. This previously chaotic site has become an immensely popular eco-park, integrating recreational trails and ecological ponds, and has received numerous awards, including the "National Sustainable Development Award," "Outstanding Local Group Award for Combating Environmental Crimes," and "Taiwan Healthy City and Age-Friendly City Award - Green City Award." With a vibrant macaron color scheme, Wugu Summer Green Land features a playful design centered around the concept of "hide-and-seek." It showcases installation art primarily made from concrete pipes, allowing both adults and children to weave through the tubes and discover the creatively painted artwork inside. Visitors can climb up the painted stairs to the park's highest point, where they can enjoy panoramic views of Guanyin Mountain and the Greater Taipei cityscape while overlooking the vast and lush green grass below.
