Wuku Summer Greenery Introduction

Wugu Summer Greenery features a vast 60-hectare expanse of grassy fields. Behind its romantic and refreshing reputation is the New Taipei City Government's "Wugu Trash Mountain Environmental Renovation Project," which transformed a previously chaotic area filled with illegal constructions, long avoided by the public, into a beautiful secret spot. It has become a new family-friendly attraction in Wugu, where a recycling education center has also been established to manage recyclables and promote environmental education. For many years, Wugu Trash Mountain was a dark spot in the region. Through cross-departmental collaboration by the New Taipei City Government, industries were guided to transform, illegal constructions were dismantled, and a sustainable spirit along with urban aesthetics was introduced. This effort turned the once disorderly trash mountain into a popular eco-park, incorporating recreational trails and ecological ponds among other facilities. Wugu Summer Greenery has won numerous awards, including the "National Sustainable Development Award," "Outstanding Group Award for Local Environmental Crime Prevention," and the "Green City Award of Taiwan Healthy Cities and Age-Friendly Cities." With a lively pastel color scheme, Wugu Summer Greenery is designed with the "Hide and Seek" concept, featuring installation art made from concrete pipes, allowing adults and children to navigate through and play within the pipes, discovering unique artistic murals inside. Visitors can climb up the painted stairs to reach the highest point of the park, where they can enjoy a panoramic view of Guanyin Mountain and the Greater Taipei urban landscape, overlooking the lush green fields below.
