Established in the 17th year of the Yongli era (1663 AD), it is dedicated to Emperor Baosheng and was originally called Zhenjun Temple. In the 1st year of the Qianlong era (1736 AD), the temple was funded for renovation and was renamed Baoning Palace. Baoning Palace holds grand celebrations for welcoming the deities every three to six years, depending on the economic situation of the local community.
