Shiguang (Tiger Mountain) Trail Introduction
In the past, it was an important agricultural ancient path between Shigangzi and Longtan, with a history of nearly two hundred years. It gradually fell into disuse after the construction of highways decades ago. In recent years, with efforts from the local community development association and special government funding, the Shiguang Ancient Path has been renovated by the Shiguang Community Development Association and the government. The starting point of the ancient path is Shiguang Junior High School, and the endpoint is the tea garden pavilion, with resting pavilions, viewing platforms, and wooden benches set up along the way for visitors’ recreation. This survey combines the Shiguang Trail and the Shiguang Ancient Path; the Shiguang Trail runs from the Basilica to the tea garden pavilion. Because this trail passes through Laohushan, the locals refer to it as the Laohushan Trail.
