Shih Er Liao Yun Piao Mountain Villa Introduction
Emei Township was an important production area for camphor in early Taiwan, and the twelfth camphor site, known as Shiliang, is located in today's Shiliang Leisure Agricultural Scenic Area in Emei Township. To irrigate the nearby farmland, farmers also excavated the Shiliang Large Pond. The area around the pond is lush green, and the pond reflects the blue sky and green trees like a mirror. Sitting quietly by the pond to enjoy the scenery intuitively makes one feel that "such scenery should only exist in heaven, rarely seen in the human world." To visit the Shiliang Hiking Trail, it is best to wake up early to enjoy an ecological journey amidst the sounds of insects and birds. The trails here are gentle, and one can occasionally see tung flowers along the way, making it suitable for travelers of all ages to stroll together, creating a melodious composition of tung flowers from different generations. For those who love bike tours, bicycles or tricycles are available for rent in Shiliang, allowing visitors to ride along the well-planned bike routes through the mountains and cross the water channels, as well as around the lakeside trail of Emei Lake to enjoy various views of the lake and mountains, as well as the statue of Maitreya Buddha. For the more adventurous, one can even ride all the way to Lion Head Mountain, connecting the complete tung flower attractions of Emei Township. As it is already a popular tourist destination, there are plenty of well-known snacks, international restaurants, and romantic landscape cafes along the way, allowing visitors to plan their exclusive journey based on their physical abilities and preferences. In recent years, Emei Lake has also become a suitable spot for road running, as the Education Bureau of Hsinchu County will hold the Emei Buddha Road Running event on May 4th, starting from the Tian'en Maitreya Buddha Square to circle around Emei Lake, taking in the beautiful mountain and water scenery along the way. For example, the approximately two-hectare Lark Mountain Villa is a great choice for dining and leisure. The villa has its own orchard and free-range chicken farm, so the dishes and drinks offered are made from self-sufficient ingredients, ensuring they are fresh and delicious, allowing for a worry-free dining experience. If there is an opportunity to stay at the villa, one can enjoy stargazing at night and welcoming the sunrise over the sea of clouds in the morning, making it an excellent retreat spot for family gatherings, friends' reunions, or company outings.
