Shangrila Citrus Garden Introduction
The "Shangrui Tourist Orchard" is located in Zhudong Township, Hsinchu County, on the Donghe Industrial Road, 500 meters from the Nanching Highway. It began planting citrus trees in 1989, mainly focusing on sea pears and barrel oranges. The orchard covers an area of about 1.5 hectares and transitioned to leisure industry and opened for fruit picking in 1993. Currently, it receives technical guidance from the agricultural association and the town office, and is inspected annually by the Taoyuan Agricultural Improvement Station. In 2000, it won the silver medal in the province-wide "Tourist Farm Evaluation - Excellent Tourist Farm Production and Sales Class." The orchard owner, Mr. Lai, currently serves as a supervisor of the "Taiwan Tourist Farm Development Association" and has dedicated his life to researching fruit tree cultivation. Visitors who come for fruit picking consistently give high praise. This year, the successfully improved "Qingjian No. 2" is the most sought after, known for its large grains, fine fibers, and a unique sweet and slightly sour juicy flavor.
