Maitiau Gongfan Temple Introduction
Kaishan Mazu, the main deity worshiped at the Gongfan Temple located in Yong'an, Kang, and Mailiao, is commonly known as Mailiao Mazu or Kaishan Mazu. It was established during the Kangxi period and is now designated as a national historic site. The temple shares the same founding master, the pure and simple monk, with the Lungshan Temple in Lugang. Its faith circle encompasses the 36 villages in Wugu, covering five townships: Mailiao, Taixi, Dongshih, Baozhong, and Lunbei in Yunlin County.
