San Shan Guo Wang, also known as the Three Mountain Kings, refers to the deities associated with the three mountains in Jieyang County, Guangdong Province: Jinshan, Mingshan, and Dushan. They were later honored by Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty as the Three Mountain Kings. During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, the Three Mountain Kings were brought to Taiwan by a person from Guangdong, and they have since been worshipped in Taiwan, becoming one of the temples revered by the Hakka people.
