San-shan Guo-wang is a collective term for the mountain deities of Jinshan, Mingshan, and Dushan in Jieyang County, Guangdong Province. Later, he was conferred the title of San-shan Guo-wang by Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty. During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, San-shan Guo-wang was brought to Taiwan by a person from Guangdong, and since then, he has been worshipped in Taiwan, becoming one of the temples of the Hakka people.
