Shibi Ecological Recreation Area Introduction
Shibi, located about a 20-minute drive from the Caoling Image Business District, has become a popular hiking route in recent years. It serves as a relay station for the Caoling traverse, leading to the highest peak, Shibi Mountain, where visitors can enjoy the distant mountain mist; on fortunate days, they might encounter a dreamlike sea of clouds. Starting from the furthest hiking trail, one can walk through the Moso bamboo forest trail and into the camphor forest, experiencing the serene and elegant environment of Shibi Mountain. Next, visit the Jiuxiong Sacred Tree, which has survived the devastation of a fire, or head to Shibi Fairy Valley to see how the flowing stream has carved spectacular canyons out of the rocks.
