Shibi Ecological Recreation Area Introduction
Shibi, located about a 20-minute drive from the Caolai Image Business District, has become a popular hiking route in recent years. It serves as a stopover for the Xitou-Caolai traverse. Climbing to the summit of Shibi Mountain offers breathtaking views of distant mountains shrouded in mist, and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a dreamlike sea of clouds. You can start from the furthest hiking trail, walking through the Moso bamboo forest path, and then enter the camphor forest to experience the serene and elegant atmosphere of Shibi Mountain. Next, visit the Jiuqiung Sacred Tree, which survived a catastrophic fire, or head to Shibi Fairy Valley to see how the rushing streams have carved spectacular gorges from the rocks.
