He-Po Mountain Earth Mother Temple Introduction
The Earth Mother Temple was founded in the 34th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing dynasty and has undergone several renovations over the years. It was not until the 58th year of the Republic of China that it was rebuilt and renovated to its current scale. The main hall is dedicated to the Supreme Earth Mother, and the walls on both sides are adorned with carvings depicting miraculous tales of the Earth Mother saving all living beings. The coffered ceiling is intricately carved and uniquely crafted. In front of the temple, there is the "Bagua Palm Earth Nine Dragon Pool," with nine colorful dragon sculptures centered around the Bagua Pool, supported by columns that hold up a globe. At the top of the globe, there are representations of the Earth Mother and the Bagua diagram, symbolizing supreme status.
