Dragon Valley Trail Introduction
The Ecological Dragon Trail is said to have its name due to the mountain ridges that resemble a dragon's spine, visible from high points. The trail features three access points and is a friendly and scenic route with wide vistas. It is rich in ecology, where one can witness the purple butterfly dancing during the Qingming Festival, and on regular days, the Formosan blue magpie and Taiwanese macaques can be seen roaming around. The Longguo Forest Trail is located in Linnei Township, near Linnei Park, with a total length of approximately 4.2 kilometers. It is one of the recommended trails by the Forestry Bureau, featuring three access points: the Tiebingkou section, the Luping section, and the Ping Ding section. The Linnei Mountain Range is surrounded by Caoling and Zhushan Township in Nantou County, and it is said that when overlooking from the border of Caoling and Zhushan, the mountain ridges within Linnei resemble a dragon's spine. When the view shifts to the confluence of the Zhuoshui River and Qing Shui River, it appears as if the dragon is drinking water, hence the name "Dragon Overpass."
