The Linnei Kaifu Temple, dedicated to Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong), is built by the Zheng clan of Linnei. It is said to have been established during the Xianfeng period. During the latter part of Japanese rule, in the era of the Imperialization Movement, it was torn down by the Japanese and the temple site was transformed into a Shinto shrine. Reconstruction began in the 1950s and has since returned to its present location.

Linnei Kai-Fu Temple Introduction

The Linnei Kaifugu Temple, built by the Zheng family of Linnei, is dedicated to the national hero Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong) and the ancestral figure of the Yinlin Mountain, the Ashamed Ancestor. It is said that this temple was established during the Xianfeng period by the Zheng clan of Linnei. During the latter part of Japanese rule, it was dismantled as part of the Japanese assimilation movement, and the temple grounds were converted into the Linnei Shrine.
