Located in the upper reaches of the Dajia River basin, it is the only entrance for early climbs of Xueshan. The village is a valley basin surrounded by mountains over 3,000 meters high, hence the name "Huan Mountain," and it is also the largest village along the Central Cross-Island Highway's Yilan branch.

Huan Mountain Village Introduction

The rich flora and fauna make it quite suitable for a two-day and one-night in-depth tour. Huan Mountain Village is primarily composed of the Atayal people and is the largest Atayal village in the Li Shan area. Nowadays, most residents rely on fruit cultivation as their main source of income. The "Atayal Folk Museum" in the village showcases Atayal weaving crafts, old photographs, and the wooden houses and granaries previously used by village leaders, which are worth seeing due to their historical significance. In recent years, the village has widely planted wisteria, which sways in the wind with purple flower clusters during the spring season, attracting many tourists to visit for flower viewing.
