Songmao Village Introduction
Songmao Tribe is located upstream of the Dajia River at an altitude of about 1,600 meters. It is a narrow tribe with limited land area, named for the dense pine trees surrounding it. During the Japanese colonial period, it settled in a place called Sliant (磐石) at the intersection of Xinhai Road in today's Pingdeng Village, and it is also known as "Panshi Tribe" or "Rock Tribe."
