Shuishe Bicycle Path Introduction
The entrance to the Shui She Riverside Walking Trail is located just to the left of the Shui She Pier. It is an important pedestrian pathway that connects Shui She Pier to the Jiulongkou area. The entire trail consists of accessible ramps, making it ideal for family outings. It is flat and easy to navigate, winding along the wooden path by the lake, leading directly to Jiulongkou via the Chaowu Pier. The path is surrounded by lush greenery, and even in the height of summer, it remains cool. There are rest areas along the way where visitors can take a break or lean against the railing to enjoy the view of yachts navigating the lake, or gaze at the tranquil lake surface which reflects the sun, sparkling like countless gold and silver coins scattered in the water. On foggy days, the Xuanzang Temple on the Qingshan Mountain appears like an ancient temple in a Chinese painting, evoking feelings of nostalgia. Meanwhile, the Ci'en Pagoda on the Shabalan Mountain can be seen from various angles along the trail, standing proudly like a sword, constantly guarding Sun Moon Lake. Upon reaching Jiulongkou, visitors will find an artificial floating island adorned with wild ginger flowers, where the night heron can occasionally be spotted hiding beneath the leaves, poised to hunt for food. If you have the energy and interest, you can continue walking to the Wunwu Temple's terraced steps or ascend the steps to the Zhushi Garden on the opposite side for another segment of the journey. In the evening, looking back toward Shui She Pier from the trail, the hotels and restaurants' lights twinkle in the dark, resembling a collection of colorful gemstones, shining even more brilliantly.
