Shuishan Bicycle Path Introduction
The entrance to the Shuishah Riverside Trail is located to the left of the Shuishah Pier and serves as an important pedestrian path connecting Shuishah Pier to Jiulongkou. The entire trail features an accessible ramp, making it very suitable for family outings. It is gentle and easy to walk, with a wooden pathway along the pond leading directly to Jiulongkou, passing by the Chao Wu Pier. The trail is lined with lush greenery, and even in the height of summer, it does not feel hot. There are rest areas along the way where visitors can take a break or lean over the railing to enjoy the yachts moving back and forth in the pond, or admire the tranquil lake surface reflecting sunlight, shimmering as if thousands of gold and silver pieces have fallen into the lake. On foggy days, the Xuanzang Temple on the Qingshan Mountain appears like an ancient temple in a traditional Chinese painting, evoking a sense of nostalgia; while the Ci'en Pagoda on Mount Shabalang can always be seen standing atop the mountain from any angle along the path, resembling a sword guarding Sun Moon Lake. Upon reaching Jiulongkou, there is an artificial floating island adorned with wild ginger flowers, where one might occasionally spot a night heron hiding among the foliage, poised and ready to hunt. If you still have the interest and energy, you can continue to the Wenwu Temple's stairway, or ascend the steps to the opposite Zhu Shiyuan to start another segment of your journey. At night, from the trail, you can glimpse Shuishah Pier, where the lights of hotels and restaurants twinkle like colorful gems, becoming even more brilliant against the night backdrop.
