Songbailun Trail Introduction
Songbolun was once the route for the ancestors of the Shao people traveling to and from Puli for "paying tribute" and is an important site for the ancestral spirit rituals of the Yuan clan. Before Sun Moon Lake was dammed, it was a significant salt transport trail. The trail features an image of a salt transporter sculpture by the lakeside. The trail's entrance is located between the Wenwu Temple and the Peacock Garden, and it leads through a winding forest path to the viewing platform, where visitors can enjoy the native vegetation, insect and bird ecology, as well as the floating fields and fishing boats by the lake.
