Songbailun Trail Introduction
Songbolun was once the route for the ancestors of the Shao ethnic group to travel to and from Puli to collect head tax from the indigenous people, and it is also an important place for the ancestral worship of the Yuan clan leaders. Before the Sun Moon Lake was filled with water, it was a significant salt-picking ancient trail, with a sculpture of porters set up near the lakeside trail. The trail entrance is located between Wenwu Temple and Peafowl Garden, and it leads through winding paths in dense forests to a lookout point, where visitors can enjoy the native vegetation, insect and bird ecology, as well as the floating fields and fishing boats by the lake.
