Songbailun Trail Introduction
Songbailun was once the route for the ancestors of the Shao people to travel back and forth to Puli to collect tribute. It is also an important site for the ancestral spirit worship of the Yuan surname leaders. Before Sun Moon Lake was dammed, it served as a significant trail for salt transportation. The trail features a sculpture representing the porters near the lakeside. The entrance to the trail is located between Wenwu Temple and the Peacock Garden. The winding forest path leads to an observation deck, where visitors can enjoy the native flora, the ecology of insects and birds, as well as the floating fields and fishing boats by the lake.
