Songbailun Trail Introduction

Songbolun was once the route for the ancestors of the Thao people to travel back and forth to Puli Township for "collecting rent from the indigenous people." It is also an important site for the ancestral spirit worship of the Yuan clan leaders. Before Sun Moon Lake was filled with water, it was a significant ancient road for salt transport, and a sculpture of a salt carrier is situated along the trail by the lake. The trail entrance is located between the Wenwu Temple and the Peacock Park, and visitors can reach the observation deck by following the winding paths through dense forests, enjoying the native flora and fauna and the floating fields and fishing boats by the lake along the way.
