Songbailun Trail Introduction

Songbailun was once the route for the ancestors of the Shanao people to travel back and forth to Puli for "collecting rent from the indigenous people," and it is also an important site for the ancestral spirit worship of the Yuan clan leaders. Before Sun Moon Lake was dammed, it was a significant historic salt-packing trail, with sculptures of porters along the trail near the lake. The trail starts between Wenwu Temple and Peacock Park, leading to an observation deck through a winding path in the dense forest, where visitors can enjoy the native flora, fauna, and the floating fields and fishing boats by the lake.
