Together with the old Zhuang official residence and Nogi Cape, it stands as one of the three major cultural assets from the Japanese rule period in the town. Inside, it showcases many cultural characteristics and histories of Nanzhuang’s attractions, making it a must-visit destination for tourists. Saisiyat - Indigenous Culture The Saisiyat people traditionally lived adjacent to the Taai (Taay) tribe, who taught them about agriculture, medicine, and ritual songs and dances. The Saisiyat regarded the Taai as benefactors, inviting them to drink and celebrate during festivals. However, the Taai often harassed Saisiyat women, and after enduring this for a long time, the Saisiyat decided to take revenge and ended up killing many Taai. The surviving Taai cursed the Saisiyat, predicting that they would face years of disasters and poor harvests, which indeed came to pass. Consequently, the Saisiyat people hold the "Spiritual Festival" every year, praying that the Taai will no longer bring calamities upon them.
