He Tian Ye Introduction
The area around Toyoda was once a sugarcane production site, and in the early days, several light railways were set up to facilitate the transportation of sugarcane to the Taiwan Sugar Corporation's Toyoda raw material park for sugar manufacturing. He Tian Ye, located along National Route 9, was originally an asset of Taiwan Sugar and has a history of over 80 years. It has been transformed from a Japanese-style building into a small restaurant, with some indigenous decor added to the interior. The menu includes dishes such as pasta, rice meals, and hot pot, with the highlight being handcrafted wood-fired pizza, making it a popular restaurant in the area.
