Li Chang Ma's Rice Cake Introduction
When you visit Daxi He Ping Old Street, you must try the popular Li Zhang Ma's Rice Pudding, which has a history of sixty years. The traditional rice pudding and brown sugar rice pudding are both generously sized. Following ancient methods of steaming, the authentic Hakka flavor features the white, tender rice pudding topped with pickled vegetables and mushrooms, drizzled with soy sauce made from Golden Orchid brand, making it incredibly delicious. There’s also the sweet rice pudding made from brown sugar, which is fragrant, chewy, and wonderfully complements the pork meatball soup.
