Mushroom Museum Introduction
The first museum in Taiwan dedicated to microorganisms, established in January 2011, is a collaboration between the Bionet group and a group of microorganism experts from Taiwan and the United States. Named "Microbe Baby," the name is a play on the Taiwanese pronunciation of "very precious," embodying the meaning of "treasure or precious" in relation to microorganisms. The initial intention was to address the general public's limited understanding of the ubiquitous microorganisms around them, and even the fear and rejection of these organisms. Through the Microbe Baby Museum, we hope to teach the public correct knowledge about microorganisms using interactive tours and experiential exploration, allowing everyone to gain a deeper understanding of the microbial world. At the same time, we aim to highlight that not all bacteria in the natural environment are harmful; there are also various beneficial bacteria that are treasures for humanity.
