Mushroom Museum Introduction
The first museum in Taiwan dedicated to microorganisms, established in January 2011, was planned and set up by the Bioneers Biotechnology Group in collaboration with a group of microbiology experts from Taiwan and the United States. Named "Bacteria Baby," the title is a homophone for the Taiwanese phrase meaning "very precious," embodying the meaning of "precious or treasure" in relation to bacteria. The museum was founded out of a realization that the general public has only a limited understanding of the ubiquitous microorganisms around them, often coupled with rejection and fear. We hope that through the Bacteria Baby Museum, we can educate the public about correct microbiological knowledge through interactive tours and experiential exploration, allowing everyone to gain a deeper understanding of the microbial world and recognize that not all bacteria in nature are harmful; there are also various beneficial bacteria that are treasures for humanity.
