Mushroom Museum Introduction
The first museum in Taiwan dedicated to the theme of microorganisms was established in January 2011. It was jointly planned and established by the Bionet Group and a group of microbiology experts from Taiwan and the United States. The name "Jiun Baobei" is a play on the Taiwanese pronunciation of "very precious," symbolizing the concept of microorganisms as "treasures." The original intention was to address the common understanding of microorganisms, which are ubiquitous in everyday life, often leading to misunderstanding, rejection, and fear among the public. Through the interactive tours and experiential exploration offered by the Jiun Baobei Museum, we aim to teach the public accurate knowledge about microorganisms, enabling a deeper understanding of the microbial world, as well as the awareness that not all microorganisms in the natural environment are harmful, but there are also various beneficial ones known as "treasure bacteria."
