Li Teng-fang Old Residence Introduction
The national historic site "Li Teng-fang Old Mansion," also known as "Li Jin-hsing Old House," was built in 1860. The layout, feng shui, and decoration of the mansion are highly distinctive and well-preserved, symbolizing the deep-rooted presence of Han Chinese families in Daxi. The owner of the mansion, "The Tao Yuan County Li Jin-hsing Public Charitable Corporation," entrusted the management of the mansion to the Matsu Museum in 2017. The museum is guided by the concept of "heritage" and positions the mansion as a "Daxi Game Primary School," aiming to pass down the cultural values of the mansion and Daxi's local customs through parent-child interactions and educational activities in schools.
