Golden Lion Ancient Trail Introduction
The "Golden Lion Trail" is famous for being located near the renowned "Golden Lion Temple" and is situated in Hukou Village. In the past, it was an important ancient road for transporting agricultural products from Xinpu to Hukou, originally a narrow path. In June 1997, it was planned by the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau to become a pathway made of rows of large round stones. The trail's viewing platform is the best spot for enjoying the scenery; on clear days, one can gaze northward across the vast Taoyuan Plateau and distant Taiwan Strait. In front of the Golden Lion Temple, there are abundant Tung trees, which during the transition from spring to summer, bloom profusely like snow, creating a spectacular sight.
