Octagonal Tower Introduction
Walk towards the Xiucai Trail from the back of the Old Street to reach the Hu Kou Centenary Building, the Octagonal Red House. The Octagonal House was built in the early Republic of China era and was previously a gathering place for local gentry and merchants. Constructed by the Luo family, it features Baroque-style red brick walls and a four-sided octagonal structure, showcasing elegant and classic architecture with a distinct Hakka charm. The Octagonal House is now open for visits by reservation, so don't forget to visit this beautiful red house when you come to Hu Kou.
