Fuxiang Cactus and Succulent Garden Introduction
Established for thirty years, the Fuxiang Botanical Garden initially focused on selling a large variety of cactus plants. After the government mandated a two-day weekend policy, the farm transformed into a rare professional cactus education farm in Taiwan. The Fuxiang Succulent Botanical Garden is the largest cactus garden in Taiwan, covering over five hectares and featuring more than 7,000 cactus varieties, making it the leading garden of its kind in the country. The owner, Professor Yan Yong-Xiang, has a deep passion for cacti and has been immersed in the world of cacti for at least 25 years, making him an authority on the subject. Many nearby ecological parks seek his advice and expertise. Additionally, Fuxiang Botanical Garden has collaborated with the Taichung Science Museum to become an annex of the museum's cactus education area, enhancing the identification and teaching of cactus varieties. The Fuxiang Succulent Botanical Garden currently hosts several thematic areas, including a Tropical Cactus Landscape Area, a Water Source Plant Natural Ecology Purification Area, an Aquatic Plant Area, and a Medicinal Plant Area. There are also eight cactus cultivation greenhouses and a large conference teaching presentation room, making the entire garden exceptionally well-planned.
