Chen Family Farm Introduction
Chen's Farm is located on the hillside at the end of the picturesque Jioucyong Lake rural area. The main attractions of the farm include its restaurant, orchard, and the stag beetles during summer. The restaurant offers Hakka cuisine and pounded tea, while the orchard primarily features high-grafted water pears in the summer. As for the stag beetles, the farm's orchard has dozens of wax trees that are favored by these beetles. Every year in June and July, thousands of stag beetles and scarab beetles are active on the tree trunks, making it a great ecological teaching site. Furthermore, at Chen's Farm, the owner, Chen Hsin-yuan, personally teaches children how to make the long-lost bamboo flute using local materials, as well as creating lifelike puppies from common reed grass, which is very fun!
