Lukou Catholic Church Cultural Center Introduction
The Old LuKou Catholic Church was built in the 48th year of the Republic of China, initiated by Italian Father Mancini. The main structure is a reinforced concrete building elevated on a small hill, with vertical dividing lines on the facade that enhance the church's holiness and grandeur. Between the main entrance platform and the two staircases, there is a niche-like space that cleverly showcases a statue of the Virgin Mary, becoming the focal point of the church. With the decline of the old street, the church also fell into disrepair for a time. After various efforts, the church agreed to change the usage of Old LuKou Catholic Church and renovated it for reuse. In addition to the main building, the priest's residence has been converted into a community center, and Old LuKou Catholic Church will be further integrated with the areas of Old LuKou and the old street.
