Huwei Sugar Factory Introduction
Huwei Sugar Factory is an important origin of Huwei Township, which has promoted the development of Huwei Township and earned it the nickname "Sugar City." It is one of only two sugar factories in Taiwan still producing sugar and is the only one that still uses five-foot trains to transport sugarcane. Established in 1907, it has a history of over a century and continues to stand strong, highlighting its significance to the development of Huwei.
