Hualien Port Warehouse No. 1 Art Museum Venus Gallery Introduction
Entering the Hualien Port Waterfront Recreation Area along the Hualien Scenic Bridge, you are greeted by the "Venus Art Gallery," which has an exterior adorned with colorful mosaic tiles, adding vibrant life to the previously drab port warehouses. This nearly 40-year-old gallery is one of the most historically significant art venues in Hualien. The entire recreation area is filled with an artistic atmosphere rich in vivid colors. In front of the gallery stands an integrated stone art piece titled "Fortunate Bluebird Mailbox," a public art installation that is 3.6 meters high, 168 centimeters in diameter, and weighs 6 tons. The green mailbox is primarily composed of local specialties, made from serpentine and Taiwan jade, and it is the only serpentine mailbox located along the Pacific coast in the world.
