Taiwan Fertilizer Ocean Deep Water Park Introduction
Taiwan Fertilizer Company Hualien Deep Sea Water Park is located to the east of the Taiwan Cement Hualien Plant, bordered to the west by the Forestry Bureau's windbreak forest and Hualien Environmental Park. It is adjacent to the Pacific Ocean on the south side, next to Gangbin Road and Hualien Fishing Port, while the north side connects to the 48 Highland. Since the cessation of fertilizer production in 2003, it has been transformed to develop deep sea water resources in line with the Executive Yuan's "Deep Sea Water Resource Utilization and Industrial Development Policy." The Hualien Deep Sea Water Park is the only year-round stable deep sea water production base in Taiwan. Currently, the park plans to feature the largest and the only ocean deep water-themed recreational area in Asia, along with facilities like the Deep Foot Healing Trail, Meet Flower Pool, and Coastal Air Defense Cave. Visitors can learn about professional water extraction engineering, marine culture, and ocean knowledge through guided tours and experiences at the Sea Minerals Pavilion, highlighting the value of the Kuroshio Current and the importance of deep sea water for human health, as well as exploring the original inspiration behind it.
