Liutan Bicycle Trail (Qixingtan Section) Introduction

The Liang Tan Bicycle Path starts from the Deyuan Coastal Botanical Garden and connects the Qixing Lake and Liyu Lake bike paths. The coastal bike path refers to the route that runs along the coastline from the southern or northern sections of Hualien's South Beach Park or North Beach Park to the Qixing Lake Scenic Area. The section of the bike path at Qixing Lake begins at the "Deyuan Coastal Botanical Garden," enters the Qixing Lake Scenic Area, and continues south via a wooden staircase to the 48 Highland. Along the way, there are endless views of the Pacific Ocean, with occasional stops at pavilions for rest and informative signs that provide insights into the local rich natural ecology and indigenous plant knowledge. Those without a bicycle can easily rent one at the Qixing Lake Visitor Center nearby, which also offers Hualien travel information and regularly hosts events.
