The northern lakeside park is often bustling with cyclists gathering to discuss the beautiful sights of Hualien and share cycling experiences, making it a must-visit spot for bike enthusiasts, or you can rent a pedal boat to enjoy the scenery on the lake. After that, head to the food district, where the rich and fresh seafood at Liuyuantan will satisfy your taste buds. After replenishing your energy, visit the Fisheries Research Institute to see the Fisheries Cultural Museum and the wetland ecology area, and learn about the development of Taiwan’s fisheries. You can continue to walk around the lake on the lakeside trail or head to Baibao Creek to experience a completely different mountain scenery, providing a perfect ending to your cycling trip at Liuyuantan. The total length is about 5 kilometers, taking 25 to 30 minutes one way.
