Green Water Confluence Introduction
Lüshui Confluence Trail is part of the Hehuan Mountain Cross-Ridge Ancient Trail, located at the 172-kilometer mark of the Central Cross-Island Highway. The entrance is on the left side of the "Lüshui Geoscience Exhibition Hall." The trail is approximately 2 kilometers long, connecting the Lüshui River terrace to the Confluence Plateau. The entire path is a gently sloping dirt road, and it takes about 1 hour to reach the end of the trail. Along the way, visitors can appreciate the rich natural ecology and experience the steepness of the cliffs and canyons. Lüshui is a river terrace where the ancestors of the Atayal indigenous tribe once settled. Today, the entrance to the trail features a geoscience exhibition hall that offers free admission, assisting visitors in understanding the geological features of Taroko. The Confluence Camping Area is a well-equipped campsite located in a comfortable and flat area, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful canyon scenery.
