Lüshui Confluence Introduction
The Lushui Confluence Trail is part of the Hehuan Mountain Ancient Trail, located at the 172-kilometer mark of the Central Cross-Island Highway. The trail entrance is on the left side of the Lushui Geological Exhibition Hall, and it is approximately 2 kilometers long, connecting the Lushui River terrace to the Confluence Terrace. The entire trail features a gentle dirt surface, and it takes about 1 hour to walk to the end of the trail. As you follow the path, you can enjoy rich natural ecology and experience the steepness of the canyon. Lushui is a river terrace where the ancestors of the Tsou indigenous people once settled, and today there is a geological exhibition hall at the trail entrance, providing free admission to help visitors learn about the geology and terrain of Taroko Gorge. The Confluence Campground is a well-equipped camping area located in a comfortable and flat spot, where visitors can enjoy the charming canyon scenery.
