Green Water Confluence Introduction
The Lushui Confluence Trail is part of the Hehuan Mountain Crossing Ancient Trail, located at the 172 km mark of the Central Cross-Island Highway. The trailhead is to the left of the "Lushui Geological Exhibition Hall" and stretches approximately 2 kilometers, connecting the Lushui River terrace to the Confluence Terrace. The entire trail features a gentle dirt path, taking about 1 hour to reach the end. Along the way, visitors can enjoy rich natural ecology and experience the steep cliffs and canyons. Lushui is a river terrace where the ancestors of the indigenous Atayal people once settled. Today, the trailhead includes a geological landscape exhibition hall that offers free admission for visitors to help them understand the geology and topography of Taroko National Park. The Confluence Camping Area is a well-equipped campsite located in a comfortable and flat area, where visitors can admire the charming canyon scenery.
