Green Water Confluence Introduction
Lüshui Hecun Trail is part of the Hehuan Mountain Historic Trail, located at kilometer 172 of the Central Cross-Island Highway. The entrance is to the left of the "Lüshui Geology Exhibition Hall." The trail is approximately 2 kilometers long, connecting Lüshui River terrace to the Hecun plateau. It features a gently sloping dirt path, and walking it takes about 1 hour to reach the end. Along the trail, visitors can enjoy a rich natural ecology and experience the steepness of the cliffs and gorges. Lüshui is a river terrace where the ancestors of the Atayal people once settled, and today the trail entrance is equipped with a geology exhibition hall that offers free admission to help visitors understand the geological terrain of Taroko. The Hecun camping area is a well-equipped camping site located in a comfortable and flat area where visitors can enjoy the charming canyon scenery.
