Chike Mountain Introduction
Chikong Mountain, famous for the cultivation of the red cypress tree during the Japanese colonial period, stands at an altitude of about 900 meters. Its unique soil and climate make it a cradle for the abundant production of daylilies in Yuli Township. Every summer, the yellow flowers bloom, complemented by the distinctive "Three Sceneries of Chikong" within the park, which has gradually become a popular destination for tourists. Along the narrow industrial road, the "Thousand-Ton Stone Turtle" hides in a valley, resting among the sea of flowers, while the ancient red cypress tree stands tall nearby; three black "Igneous Rock Boulders" are embedded in the vast carpet of blossoms, glittering like shimmering black gems under the sunlight. The semi-wooden old building "Wang Family Ancient Residence" records the long history of disaster victims relocating and reclaiming land after the 1987 flood. During the blooming season, lucky visitors may also witness the amusing sight of daylilies drying on the roof of the ancient residence.
