Satokoay (Maizuru) Site Introduction
The Giant's Causeway in England and the Moai statues on Easter Island belong to the mysterious megalithic culture. On the Ruisui Wuzhih Mountain Terrace, there is also a megalithic site where stone pillars weighing several tons stand on the ground, known as the Satokoay (Wuzhih) site, also referred to as the Sweeper Stone Pillar. The Wuzhih site has a history of over 3,000 years, belonging to prehistoric cultural relics, and it is filled with many local legends and mysteries from the Ami and Sakizaya peoples, making these two towering stone pillars rich in imaginative potential.
