- Attraction Introduction - Located on Heping Island, Sheliao Tianhou Temple has a long history, featuring a blend of Minnan architectural styles, exquisite carvings and paintings, serving as a center of faith and a cultural landmark for the local residents. - Attraction Features - Sheliao Tianhou Temple, also known as "Sheliao Mazu Temple," was originally named "Dajilong Port Tianhou Temple." It is the center of faith for the residents of Heping Island and one of the oldest Mazu temples in northern Taiwan. The temple primarily enshrines Meizhou Mazu, with the Fortune God on the left side and the Water Fairy King on the right side. The architectural structure was built by Yilan master Chen A-xu, and the wood carvings were completed by folk art master Huang Gui-li and Yilan master A-tu.
