Qing'an Temple Introduction

- Attraction Introduction - Qian'an Temple, affectionately known as the "Keelung Mazu Temple" or "Keelung Mazu Palace," is like stepping into the deep memory of Keelung. Initially built during the Qing Dynasty's Qianlong period, the original site was located at Niu Chao Port, making it one of the earliest religious sites in this port city. It has since relocated from the breezy dock to its current street corner, accompanying the people of Keelung through the golden age of the fishing port, while also blessing countless citizens with safe voyages and secure returns to the harbor. - Attraction Features - Upon entering Qian'an Temple, visitors are greeted by a stone carving of Mazu on the right side of the temple grounds, her kind and dignified expression seemingly guardianship over the worshippers. This is the only temple in Taiwan that simultaneously enshrines Mazu from Meizhou, Quanzhou, and Zhangzhou, reflecting a unique blend of different sources of faith within a single temple, much like Keelung's historic embrace of diverse port cultures. In addition to the main deity, the Heavenly Mother, the temple also houses numerous other deities such as the Jade Emperor, the God of Wealth, and Guanyin Bodhisattva, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere filled with devotees. The temple thoughtfully features a "Safety Bridge" on the second floor, connecting the corridors on both sides of the main hall, making it convenient for worshippers to pay their respects. From the second floor, visitors can overlook the temple grounds and appreciate its beauty from various angles. Additionally, the temple includes a "Daoist Service Center" to assist worshippers with inquiries or rituals as needed. Qian'an Temple serves not only as a spiritual gathering point but also as a vital lighthouse of faith for local fishermen and residents. - Recommended Activities - When visiting Qian'an Temple, it's recommended to follow the worship route arranged by the temple, not only to pray for peace but also to appreciate and observe the ancient, dignified architectural style. Friends seeking romance should not forget to ask the Matchmaker for a good relationship, as it might just lead to beautiful connections in life. - Nearby Recommendations - After worshipping, visitors can stroll to Ocean Square or National Gate Square, enjoy the sea breeze by the harbor, and watch the beautiful black kites soar and hunt in the sky. Finally, you can head directly to the Night Market at the temple entrance or enjoy delicious food on Xiaosan Road, creating a lovely conclusion to the rhythm of faith and daily life here.
