Candleholder Islets Introduction
The Candleholder Islets are approximately 60 meters tall and are surrounded by a poignant legend known as the "Couple Stones." This place was originally part of Cape Jinshan, but due to tectonic movements, it formed interlaced perpendicular joints in the rocks. Additionally, continuous erosion by the sea and wind resulted in the islets separating from the cape. After a long period of erosion by ocean waves, sea caves gradually penetrated through to form a cape resembling a stone gate. Eventually, the top of the arch collapsed, resulting in two sea stone pillars forming a prominent reef. The rock pillars are connected at the base, and the water surface diverged to create the two islets, which resemble two candleholders, hence the name "Candleholder Islets."
