Tamsui Bridge Introduction
Tamsui Bridge, located at the confluence of rivers and seas, features a single-tower asymmetrical cable-stayed structure that connects Tamsui and Bali, significantly shortening travel time compared to crossing the Guandu Bridge. The bridge accommodates buses, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians, with reserved tracks for light rail. The proposal for Tamsui Bridge began in the 1980s, and in 2015, it emerged from an international competition designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid, blending engineering rationality with poetic aesthetics, creating a new landmark for the Tamsui River estuary.
