Tegile Coffee Introduction
In the early years, the Tamsui River was deep enough to accommodate large vessels, making it an important port area after Tamsui opened as a trading port. "Dajiliss Trading Company" was one of the top five trading companies in Tamsui at that time (Deji, Heji, Yiji, Dajili, and Baoshun). Notably, in addition to the general trading functions of a trading company, shipping was its main business, holding a monopoly on the Taiwan shipping route for thirty years. It witnessed the flourishing development after the opening of Tamsui port, including the fact that the ship "Hailong," belonging to the "Dajiliss Trading Company," was used by Dr. Mackay when he arrived in Taiwan. Since 2023, it has been used as an exhibition space for the Tamsui historic site micro museum.
