Delicacy Store Introduction
In the early years, the depth of the Tamsui River was sufficient to accommodate large vessels, making it a very important port area after Tamsui was opened as a trading port. "Deki Lee & Company" was one of the top five trading companies in Tamsui at the time (the others being Deji, Heji, Yiji, Deki Li, and Baoshun). Notably, "Deki Lee & Company" not only served the general trade functions of a trading company but also primarily focused on shipping, holding a monopoly on the Taiwan shipping routes for thirty years. It witnessed the thriving development of Tamsui after the port's opening, including the ship "Hailong," which was used by Dr. Mackay when he first arrived in Taiwan, belonging to "Deki Lee & Company." Since 2023, it has served as an exhibition space for a micro-museum of Tamsui's historic landmarks.
