Sanmao Dream House Introduction

"As long as you say goodnight to the forest a thousand times, your wishes will come true!" - A Thousand Good Nights. Located fifty meters above the suspension bridge in Taoshanzhuang, it was a brief retreat for the renowned writer San Mao to seek inspiration before becoming a popular filming location. This red brick wooden house has now become a tourist spot showcasing San Mao's works and photographs. Along the way, there are signs featuring selected works by San Mao, guiding fans into her story base. When tired, visitors can head to the outdoor dining area, choosing a spot where the characters Cheng Nuo and Tian Qing once sat, enjoying the mountain scenery of Wufeng and taking a moment to relax. San Mao once said, "Silence is nature's hush, being alone but not lonely." Although her life was filled with solitude, her writings and harmonious coexistence with nature have left countless beautiful poems in this mountainous area. Today, San Mao's former residence has become "San Mao's Dream House," a pilgrimage site for literature enthusiasts. Inside "San Mao's Dream House," there are many literary and historical materials from her life, as well as photos taken with her provided by Father Ding Songqing. Standing in front of the red brick house, one unknowingly reflects on the past, and thoughts drift along with San Mao, feeling her enchanting sighs that linger between the intersections of time and space.
