Laboring Women Memorial Park Introduction
In the morning of 1973, a ferry traveling from Cijin Zhongzhou to Kaohsiung capsized and sank due to overloading and mechanical failure, resulting in the unfortunate death of 25 women who worked in the Kaohsiung Export Processing Zone. According to the customs of that time, the 25 unmarried victims were buried together in Cijin, known as the "Twenty-Five Maidens Cemetery."
