Nankang Taoyuan Living Experience Park Introduction

【Evaluation Validity Period: 2023/06/09~2026/06/08】Mr. Chen Chi-Chih, the founder of the Namchow Group, responded to the call for "industrial contribution to the nation" after the victory in the War of Resistance. He organized the Huachang Textile, Tianchang Trading, Fang Chuan Mining, and Huachang Coal Mine industries in Taiwan, and in 1952, he united with overseas Chinese friends in the Philippines to acquire the struggling "Namchow Industrial Co., Ltd." That year, in February, it was reorganized and established as "Namchow Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd." On March 27, it took over the old Namchow soap factory, began production on March 29, the day commemorating the factory's establishment, with the first product being "Namchow Soap." In 1974, Namchow's stock was publicly listed, and based on the principles of "related raw materials, related technology, related channels, and related culture," as well as sound management, it started to establish affiliated enterprises in succession from 1979 and began diversification. The current chairman, Mr. Chen Fei-Long, formed strategic alliances or partnerships with major international companies in the era of globalization from the 1980s to the 1990s, serving as chairman or CEO, leading the development of businesses in Taiwan, including Taiwan's Jiao Meng, the U.S. P&G Company, and the U.S. Procter & Gamble Company, as well as acting as an agent for Kellogg's breakfast cereals, collaborating with Häagen-Dazs to establish Taiwan Häagen-Dazs Company. Until the rise of the Chinese economy, starting from Taiwan and Thailand, it deeply cultivated its market in China and entered the Asian market, focusing on niche markets and marketing its products globally. Currently, Namchow's business divisions include Household Goods Division, Zhang's Story, Qinqin Soap, Oil Division, Frozen Dough Division, Quick Frozen Noodles Division, Ambient Rice Division, Little Chef Slow Food Noodles, and Namchow Taoyuan Life Experience Park. It also invests in and operates Royal Koka Company, producing Uncle Ice Cream, Kabisso Russian Ice Cream, and managing Qiaohe Company, a professional noodle shop. In recent years, Namchow has opened themed restaurant chains in Taiwan, including Dian Shui Lou Jiangsu and Zhejiang Cuisine, Ben Chang Liu Professional Noodle Shop, Paulaner Beer Restaurant, Thai Cuisine Restaurant, and The Little Prince's Flying Journey French Restaurant. The Namchow Group has planned its global layout with China and Thailand as production bases. In manufacturing, it produces food processing oils in China, leading the mid to high-end market, establishing a factory in Tianjin Tanggu District in 1996 due to high demand, and in 2006, it established a factory in Guangzhou for production. In 2012, it prepared to build a factory in Shanghai, with the first and second factories completed and put into production in 2017 and 2018, serving customers. The Thailand factory was established in 1989 to produce snack foods such as rice crackers and instant noodles, with exports to over 80 countries worldwide, making it one of the main sources of rice products globally. In food service, Namchow established Paulaner Catering Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, opening a German beer garden restaurant, and a European cuisine restaurant at Bund No. 1. In 2012, it expanded the Taiwan brand Dian Shui Lou Jiangsu and Zhejiang Cuisine to Shanghai. In Taiwan, since 2005, it has successively opened Dian Shui Lou Nanjing Store (the first store), Fuhsing Store, Huaining Store, Nankan Store, Linkou Store, and Dazhi Store in the northern region. In 2014, it established Namchow Japan Company, planning to operate Dian Shui Lou Pavilion and Dian Shui Lou Restaurant. In 2018, it opened a Dian Shui Lou Restaurant in the Yotsuya area of Tokyo, Japan, and in 2020, it opened a Paulaner Bakery Demonstration Store in Guandu, Taiwan, and the Little Prince's Flying Journey in Shinjuku, Tokyo, for trial operation, fully expanding international culinary services.
