【Evaluation Period: 2023/05/26~2026/05/25】The Pingtung Brewery was established over 101 years ago and is currently the largest producer of red label rice wine in Taiwan, earning the title of "Hometown of Rice Wine." Rice wine is closely related to the lives of the people and has a wide range of applications, making it a good subject for industrial education. The rich display of winemaking artifacts, combined with a spacious green leisure environment, offers visitors a knowledgeable and relaxing tourism experience. Located in southern Taiwan, south of Chiayi and west of Taitung, the Pingtung Brewery is the only rice wine production factory in southern Taiwan, with a long history and culture that records many glorious years. Rice wine is an essential item for everyday cooking, entertaining guests, and postpartum recovery for ordinary people, and Pingtung is a major rice-producing area, truly making it the "Hometown of Rice Wine." The display of winemaking processes and artifacts pays homage to the great achievements of past winemakers and promotes local winemaking culture.
