Shanhua Beer Cultural Factory Introduction
【Evaluation Validity Period: 2023/11/20~2026/11/19】In the 1970s, the Taiwan Provincial Tobacco and Alcohol Corporation (the former name of Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation before its reorganization in July 2002) recognized the growing trend in beer sales. To sufficiently meet the demand of the vast beer market in Southern Taiwan and the eastern regions, it invested NT$1.07 billion to build a modern brewery with an annual production capacity of 7 million kegs in Shanhua Township, Tainan County, near the Zengwen Reservoir in 1973 (formerly known as Shanhua Brewery before its reorganization in July 2002). Following subsequent Phase 2 and Phase 3 expansions, the current annual production capacity has reached 27.5 million kegs. After its reorganization, the Shanhua Brewery has upheld excellent traditions while continuously focusing on local cultural characteristics, fostering good neighborly relations, and integrating with local industries. The brewery has also been committed to improving its operations, obtaining multiple management system certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, TOSHMS, and ISO 22000, ensuring that its production processes meet international standards. ♦Excessive drinking is harmful to health♦ ♦Drink responsibly, do not drink and drive♦ ♦Alcohol consumption is prohibited for those under 18♦
