Beigan North Sea Tunnel Introduction
Beihai Tunnel is located by the Tiebawang Bay on Nangan Island and is one of the most representative military engineering works of Matsu's wartime culture. The tunnel was artificially carved along the granite cliffs during wartime, forming a winding underground waterway capable of accommodating several supply boats. Its large scale and precise structure demonstrate the resilience and defense needs of that era. Today, Beihai Tunnel has transformed into an important tourist attraction, where visitors can enter the tunnel along a pathway and experience the majestic rock walls, echoes of the tides, and the profound military atmosphere.
