Sun Moon Lake Bicycle Path - Ita Thao Section Introduction
This cycling path starts from the Ita Thao Pier Plaza, riding all the way to the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station to view the "Nine Frogs Stele" at the Water Frog Head platform, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Ita Thao waters along the way. The total length is about 2.6 kilometers. Among them, the section from Ita Thao to the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station is the "Dakhara Water Cycling Path," which opened in September 2023 and is approximately 600 meters long. Since the cycling path is built close to the lake surface, there is a small distance separating it from the lakeshore, making it seem as though you are walking on water. Along the way, there are cultural features of indigenous peoples, including the "Giant Fish Platform" and the "Fish Trap Flower Rack," making it a must-visit new attraction in the Sun Moon Lake area.
